Double shooting in Manhattan leaves man dead, cops in search of suspect | amNewYork

Manhattan detectives are investigating a shooting that resulted in one man dead and another wounded near St. James Triangle. The incident occurred on Oct. 12.
The deceased victim suffered a gunshot wound to his neck and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital but unfortunately died while undergoing treatment.
The second victim, a 30-year-old man, survived the shooting with a bullet wound to his lower body and is currently stable in the hospital.
As of early October, the 5th Precinct reported a decrease in homicides and shootings compared to the previous year, with only one homicide in 2023.
