Steven Sansom has been sentenced to life in prison after murdering 38-year-old Sarah Mayhew. Sansom, who was on life license for a previous murder, committed the crime alongside his partner Gemma Watts, with whom he shared a violent and sadistic relationship. The couple planned the murder as part of their depraved fantasy, which included discussions of killing victims while engaging in sexual acts. After killing Mayhew, they dismembered her body and attempted to cover up the crime by distributing her remains across various locations. Both Sansom and Watts admitted to murder and perverting the course of justice.
