"The gunfire erupted at around 3:42 p.m. on Friday near Concourse Village West and East 156th Street. Law enforcement sources said a 36-year-old man got into a verbal dispute with Poventud when the suspect allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot his victim in the body. Poventud and a female accomplice fled the scene before police arrived. Cops said the 36-year-old male victim made his way to Lincoln Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition."
Frankie Poventud, 41, surrendered at the 44th Precinct on Sunday after being sought for a Jan. 16 road rage shooting. The shooting occurred around 3:42 p.m. near Concourse Village West and East 156th Street following a verbal dispute between Poventud and a 36-year-old man. Poventud allegedly produced a firearm and shot the victim in the body. The victim traveled to Lincoln Hospital and was listed in critical condition. Poventud faces attempted murder, two counts of assault, reckless endangerment, and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon. A female accomplice fled the scene and remains at large.
