At 3:38 p.m. on Wednesday, police were called to Olde Barnstable Fairgrounds, a golf course in the village of Marstons Mills, after two young men reported that a woman brandished what appeared to be a black pistol at them while demanding they stay out of her yard.
Lawson was taken into custody without incident, and a search of her residence revealed only rubber guns and a replica pistol magazine, despite initial reports of a real firearm.
