A second suspect linked to the 2018 shooting of Toronto rapper Jahvante Smart, alias Smoke Dawg, and his brand manager, Ernest Modekwe, has been apprehended in Alberta. The 23-year-old was arrested during a traffic stop and found with a loaded firearm and fake ID. Toronto police hold a warrant for his arrest for two counts of first-degree murder. The incident occurred during Canada Day celebrations, tragically leaving two dead and one injured. Abdulkadir Handule, the first suspect, was found guilty earlier in connection with the shooting, highlighting the violence in the music community.
