A 23-year-old woman was found across the street from a playground in the Bronx with a gunshot wound to her left eye. Police said officers responded shortly after midnight to 2158 Aqueduct Avenue in the West Bronx. Emergency responders transported the woman, identified as Reyna Caceres, to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. About two hours later, police found a 34-year-old man in Canarsie, Brooklyn, with a stab wound to the chest. Isaiah Freeman, identified by police as the victim, was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital. Police reported no arrests in either case and said investigations are ongoing.
