Briefly

Over two separate stints, McDaniels helped the Patriots win all six of their Super Bowls. The worked his way up the coaching ladder between 2001 and 2008, and by the time of his ill-fated departure to become the Denver Broncos' head coach was serving as offensive coordinator.
McDaniels was back in New England for the 2011 playoffs. He first served as an assist under then, and current, Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien before succeeding him the next season.
