Brian Belichick reportedly moving on after nine seasons with Patriots
Briefly

Brian Belichick will not remain with the New England Patriots under new head coach Mike Vrabel for the 2025 season. Joining the team in 2016, he rose from a scouting assistant to safeties coach in 2020, alongside notable defensive players. Following his father Bill's exit after 24 years and brother Steve's departure to college football, Belichick was the last family member left. His departure marks a further transition at Gillette Stadium, now with Terrell Williams as the new defensive coordinator.
Last January brought Bill Belichick's exit after 24 years as New England's head coach. By February, Steve Belichick had moved on to become the defensive coordinator at the University of Washington after most recently serving as the team's outside linebackers coach and defensive playcaller.
A Super Bowl LI and LIII champion, the youngest Belichick found himself as the lone holdover in 2024 under his father's one-and-done successor.
True professional, Jerod Mayo told reporters during organized team activities in the spring. You know, any time you see your dad and your brother go somewhere else, the natural thing would be to go with them.
At Gillette Stadium, the defensive side of the ball is now in the hands of Terrell Williams, who was announced as coordinator last week, replacing previous overseer DeMarcus Covington.
