John Harbaugh was dismissed after 18 seasons as the Baltimore Ravens head coach. Harbaugh won a Super Bowl in 2012, six AFC North titles and compiled 193 victories, including 13 postseason wins. The firing followed a 26-24 loss at Pittsburgh that eliminated the Ravens from playoff contention and a final 8-9 record, the third losing season under Harbaugh. Owner Steve Bisciotti said a comprehensive evaluation of the season and organizational direction prompted the change and called the decision incredibly difficult. During the Lamar Jackson era, the Ravens won three playoff games and did not reach another Super Bowl. Harbaugh expressed disappointment along with gratitude.
