According to reports, a series of leisure items--including video games, cornhole boards, a ping pong table, and a basketball hoop--have been removed from the team locker room for the time being.
Since the start of the Jonathan Gannon era (2023 to now), Jacoby Brissett is the quarterback who has thrown for the most passing yards in a single game. And, he did it against the league's fourth-ranked scoring defense. So this begs the important question: why do they need Kyler Murray? He doesn't elevate his team or make the guys around him better, as proven by the embarrassing loss they suffered at the hands of the Titans.
"I'm just focused on this Sunday," he said. "All I got to do is go out there and just continue to work day by day and put my best foot forward. And so, I'm not really worried about what happens. I'm just worried about finding a way to get a win on Sunday and stop a high-powered offense with L.A. [ Rams] coming in."
They could've put this game away in the fourth quarter with what would've been a 72-yard touchdown by Emari Demercado. Instead, they fumbled the ball away and completely collapsed, allowing 16 unanswered points to give the Titans their first win of the season. This team isn't going anywhere this year, and everybody should be at risk of losing their job. A loss like that is unacceptable at the NFL level.
The school and the Ravens didn't give a cause of death in their announcements. "Arthur's presence was a gift to everyone he encountered," Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said. "His big, bright smile, infectious energy and eternal positivity created a presence that continuously uplifted others." Jones was a fifth-round draft pick in 2010 and had 8 1/2 of his 10 career sacks in a two-season stretch in 2012-13.
It has been over a year since the last time the Philadelphia Eagles lost a football game that quarterback Jalen Hurts started and finished. The last loss Philly had where Hurts played the full game came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 29th, 2024. Since then, they are 20-1, with their lone loss coming at the hands of the Washington Commanders, and Hurts only threw four passes in that game before leaving with an injury.
It isn't all gloom and doom on paper. There's no shame in losing games to the Bills, Lions and Chiefs, whom everyone picks to be among the best teams in the NFL at the end of the season. The Ravens will feel unlucky that they blew a late lead to Buffalo, specifically. The Bills needed to have a fourth-down pass carom off one receiver's fingertips and into the arms of Keon Coleman to help fuel their fourth-quarter comeback.
For Andy Reid's Chiefs, the problem that dogged them throughout last season, even as they reached a third successive Super Bowl, has persisted, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes shackled by an anaemic offense. Kansas City did at least claim a first win of the season last week as they saw off the New York Giants 22-9 on the road, but that success did little to win over the doubters that are growing in number amid the Chiefs' continued struggles.
"It's just a matter of us doing the right stuff. And that's where I feel like the critiques of Zach or whatever coaches are unfair because he can't go out there and play for us as much as he wants to. He can't. So, it's up to us to go out and get the job done. So, it's not a Zach thing."
Higgins' reaction was among the highlights of a Ravens video that captured the reactions of three undrafted rookies who overcame the steep challenge of making an NFL 53-man roster. In a span of four months, Higgins, cornerback Keyon Martin and safety Reuben Lowery went from the dejection of not getting selected in the NFL draft to the joy of landing a spot on a Super Bowl contender's roster. Higgins' family put the video in a group chat. Inside linebackers coach Tyler Santucci played the video in the meeting room.
Loop's performance has been exceptional, making 5-of-6 field goals during the preseason game, including impressive kicks from 51 and 53 yards. Harbaugh confirmed Loop's position as the kicker, stating simply, 'He'll be the kicker.'
