Bills RB Cook ruled out vs. Jets with toe injury
Briefly

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook is inactive for Monday night's game against the New York Jets due to a toe injury sustained in last week's loss to the Houston Texans.
Cook was a limited participant in Saturday's practice, expressing optimism: 'It's getting better. Just improving every day... I'm just taking it day by day, treatment, see what, how I feel on Monday.'
Without Cook available, the Bills elevated rookie running back Frank Gore Jr. from the practice squad, marking his first career game action, while Ty Johnson and rookie Ray Davis are expected to carry the load.
The Bills aim to avoid a three-game losing streak for the first time since 2018, facing several player absences including defensive tackle Ed Oliver and wide receiver Khalil Shakir.
