The WDCD Accelerator 2025 is open for innovative designers to submit their ideas targeting social and environmental issues related to circularity, biodiversity, and inclusivity. The program supports all stages of development, from early concepts to established businesses. Selected winners will receive mentorship, coaching, and visibility through industry events. An international jury will choose eight teams in April 2025, who will then participate in a sprint week in Amsterdam and have opportunities to connect with industry leaders. Secrid is providing additional support to enhance team development during this initiative.
The WDCD Accelerator focuses on designers who are working on solutions for circularity, biodiversity and inclusivity across various sectors, including consumer products, food, construction and fashion.
Applications are welcome at all stages—from early ideas to established businesses—whether they involve redesigning materials, products or narratives. The most promising ideas will be supported through a development program.
Selected teams will present their projects to industry leaders and investors during WDCD Live events in Amsterdam, Mexico City or Delhi to increase their visibility and strengthen their networks.
Previous WDCD Challenges have already led to groundbreaking ideas and enterprises, from innovative water purification systems and circular fashion concepts to sustainable packaging solutions.
