Doctronic, founded by Matt Pavelle, has secured $5 million in seed funding led by Union Square Ventures. The startup aims to answer health-related questions through AI, connecting users to virtual doctors for personalized advice. In an industry where even well-insured individuals struggle for timely responses, Doctronic allows users to input symptoms and receive potential explanations and action plans. The service will later expand to include 24/7 video consultations with licensed medical professionals across the U.S.
Doctronic wants to use AI to improve that system by connecting patients with AI agents that can provide them with fast, anonymous, and personalized healthcare advice.
'If people who have some of the best health insurance possible in the country are having this much difficulty getting answers from their doctors, what happens to everybody else?'
