Villa Montasser / Leopold Banchini Architects
Briefly

Villa Montasser responds to its stunning alpine setting with a simple and reflective design, embodying the majesty of Lake Geneva and its surrounding mountains.
The building features a long, plain facade that acts as a mirror, reflecting the tranquil water basin below and creating a harmonious relationship with the landscape.
With its symmetrical form, the main facade pays homage to the painter Ferdinand Hodler, evoking the dichotomy of the mountains and the reflective lake in his art.
The interior space of the house utilizes natural light and reflects the surrounding landscape, with open living areas complementing the enclosed underground bedrooms.
