Northgate Engawa House / Arcke
Briefly

The design focuses on connection and separation, allowing family members to lead independent lives while also fostering social interaction in shared spaces.
The outdoor dining area serves as an intermediary level between the main residence and the two-bedroom apartment, promoting interaction without ownership.
Drawing inspiration from Japanese architecture, the project features an engawa-like space that blurs the lines between the garden and living areas.
By removing walls and expanding thresholds, the house now offers a serene green outlook from various living spaces, enhancing the connection with the landscape.
