House in Silves / BOMO Arquitectos
Briefly

The rehabilitation of the barn structure enhances the natural light and space, transforming isolated rooms into a cohesive, functional living area that embraces the surrounding valley.
By uniting three previously disconnected rooms into an open living space, the architects have successfully combined modern comfort with the barn's historical and rural character.
The newly created mezzanine not only provides an additional bedroom but also allows for greater interaction with the landscape through its large windows and balcony.
This architectural intervention harmoniously blends functional improvements with preservation of the region's distinctive rural aesthetic, ensuring the building remains an integral part of the family farm.
