Despite high and stable mortgage rates alongside elevated home prices, real estate expert Barbara Corcoran advises potential buyers to consider purchasing homes now. The influx of homes on the market invites flexibility from sellers due to decreased pending sales. Corcoran highlights that market uncertainty creates less competitive atmospheres for prospective buyers, allowing them to negotiate better deals. Overall, this moment, while not strictly a buyer's market, presents significant opportunities for those willing to take the plunge despite economic apprehensions.
But Barbara Corcoran told Realtor.com ® she thinks it's still a great time to buy a home. "When things are uncertain, buyers hesitate before committing to a new home-they might be worried about the stock market, politics, or interest rates, but when they worry, they hesitate to move," says Corcoran.
"It's when I always buy real estate," says Corcoran, referring to uncertain markets. "There's less competition, and the seller is more likely to reconsider your offer they turned away yesterday. Shopping for a good deal is easier.
