AVA Altenrhein Wastewater Purification Plant / Lukas Imhof Architektur
Briefly

Our strategy focuses on enhancing the existing aesthetic qualities of the site rather than introducing stark contrasts, ensuring that both old and new harmonize effectively.
The existing building was painted gray-brown under its concrete roof, mirroring the pre-greyed wooden façade of the new building, allowing for a visual dialogue between them.
This design approach aims at developing a cohesive environment where both structures enrich each other, creating a quality space that fosters interaction and elegance.
By consistently applying similar elements throughout the site—like dark-painted plaster and pre-greyed wood facades—we aim to maintain a unifying architectural language.
