Janet Pizzelli, the mother of murder victim Maryrose Fealey, expresses distress over the delayed trial of her daughter's alleged killer, David Shroitman, while battling breast cancer. Fealey was brutally murdered in January 2024. Despite Shroitman's arrest and evidence against him, including a manifesto and suspicious behavior, his trial has faced multiple postponements as his defense claims he is not psychologically competent. Pizzelli's deteriorating health adds urgency to her desire for justice before she potentially succumbs to her illness and never sees the trial.
"It's not about me getting an answer. I want to make sure her killer gets what's deserved," said Janet Pizzelli, whose daughter was murdered.
"His side had an expert interview him and they said he's not competent. Then it came back to the prosecutor's side. They hired somebody who said he is competent," explained friend Meghan Kelly.
