HAIM has released their latest single, "Everybody's trying to figure me out," showcasing a shift towards independence following the earlier, lighter tone of "Relationships." The new track features assertive lyrics, with Danielle expressing a desire for self-sufficiency. She mentioned the song as a personal favorite that helped her through tough times, aiming to set a positive vibe for summer. Although an official album is not yet confirmed, anticipation is building, alongside plans for upcoming live performances and summer festivals.
"Renter's rights, squatter's rights/ I'll be the gatekeeper for the rest of my life/ I don't want your charity/ Spend the night in the cold if it keeps me free," Danielle growls in her lower register.
"This next song we will be releasing is my favorite song we've written in the last couple years," Danielle shared via Instagram. "Writing it has gotten me through some hard times, and we felt this might be of some use to get our vibes right for this summer!"
