Cynthia Ross, previously a musician in the 70s punk band The B' Girls, has launched her poetry collection, 'The Secret Door,' accompanied by a CD and vinyl. Ross, who has written poetry throughout her life, began sharing her work with the world, stating she has hundreds of poems. Her musical background includes experiences with legends like The Clash and Leonard Cohen. Ross's love for rock music began in her youth in Toronto, inspired by iconic performances, highlighting her lifelong passion for both music and poetry.
Cynthia Ross explains, "I've written poetry all my life but never shared them with anyone. I have hundreds of poems." Her work culminates in the collection 'The Secret Door.'
Prior to focusing on poetry, Ross was part of The B' Girls, a pop/punk band that opened for legends like The Clash and Blondie but didn't achieve commercial success.
Ross recalls, "I was 10 or 11 when I saw The Rolling Stones on The Ed Sullivan Show, and that was it for me! I was hooked from that moment on."
During her youth in Toronto, Ross had encounters with iconic musicians, including a memorable coffee with Leonard Cohen before his concert, showcasing her deep roots in music.
