"It validated the discipline, precision, and standards I hold myself to every day. Once we achieved that, I felt a strong pull to explore something even more personal and step into a path that reflected more of my own interpretation. With Or'esh, I wanted the freedom to cook more instinctively and express the bold, live-fire flavors that shaped me."
"Meeting Eugene was a pivotal moment in that journey. I chose to work with him because he truly believed in my vision and complemented the areas outside of my culinary focus."
Or'esh, which opened February 10 at 450 West Broadway, represents Catch Hospitality Group's expansion into a more elemental dining concept. Led by Michelin-starred chef Nadav Greenberg, the restaurant channels the group's high-energy sensibility through Mediterranean and Levantine cuisine centered on live fire and olive oil. Designed by Rockwell Group, the 80-seat dining room features layered neutrals, burgundy accents, and burnished gold tones. The name Or'esh translates to "light" and "fire," concepts that define both the space and food. Greenberg previously helped lead Shmone to a Michelin star before partnering with Catch Hospitality Group partner Eugene Remm, seeking creative freedom to cook instinctively and express bold, live-fire flavors.
