Yellow Paper Burger, a new brick-and-mortar restaurant in Eagle Rock, is the creation of husband-and-wife team Colin and Katie Reid Fahrner. Originally a successful pop-up, they serve innovative smash burgers inspired by classic L.A. burger stands, featuring fresh ingredients like lettuce, tomatoes, and chiles. After gaining popularity through a novelty Instagram account and responding to demand from pop-up events, the couple opened their dedicated spot. They also offer all-beef hot dogs and unique snacks such as pickled eggs and hand pies baked fresh daily, focusing on maintaining nostalgic culinary experiences for their customers.
"We were selling out at a lot of the pop-ups, and there just seemed to be this demand for it," Fahrner said.
"It felt like a sort of natural progression and the next step, and another challenge to take on," said Fahrner about opening the new location.
Yellow Paper Burger serves smash burgers merged with 'all the staples of an L.A. burger': mounds of lettuce, ample tomatoes, chopped chiles and more.
The couple transformed a novelty Instagram account into a successful brick-and-mortar, embracing nostalgic flavors in their Eagle Rock space.
