Trattoria One Fifth, the Italian restaurant by chef Marc Forgione located near Washington Square Park, will close after service on February 22. The restaurant announced its closure via Instagram, citing plans to focus on new projects without specifying a reason for the shutdown. Opened in August 2022, One Fifth was Forgione's first venture under his new hospitality group, Respect, and featured recipes developed by his father. While it received praise for its menu items, some dishes fell short in execution. The space previously housed Mario Batali's Otto Enoteca Pizzeria for nearly two decades.
