Fancy dress parade tells story of the ancient queen who prevented a genocide
Briefly

The Purim festival at Magnolia Court care home featured a lively fancy dress parade, where children and elderly residents participated in honoring Queen Esther's story. Volunteers from the local Chabad community led readings from the Book of Esther, recounting the historic events of how Esther saved the Jewish people from ancient Persian genocide. Emphasizing the festive spirit, Magnolia Court's manager highlighted the joy that the costumes and readings brought to the elderly residents. Traditional pastries, hamentashen, were served, adding flavor to the celebration and connecting the community through this important cultural event.
Purim is a time of celebration and fun, Magnolia Court's manager Cosmin Tiriteu said. The costumes and the Megillah Book of Esther reading brought much happiness to the home.
The festival brings the story of Purim to life, read in Hebrew, the language of the Old Testament.
