In Buffalo, N.Y., a 34-year-old man has been charged with first and second degree murder following the deaths of Jordan Celotto and Mickey Harmon, who were found dead in their home on March 4. The victims suffered blunt force trauma to the head. Police indicated the suspect was not known to the couple and had been attempting to break into several vehicles and homes in the area prior to the attack. The acting mayor condemned the violent nature of the crime, affirming it was neither targeted nor motivated by hate.
As we've come to realize, the nature of these crimes is truly horrific, the senseless and violent nature of them is something that we cannot and will not stand for here in the City of Buffalo.
The suspect also was found to be trying to get into multiple vehicles in the same time period.
The person unlawfully entered into the victims' home that morning and struck them both in the head with a blunt object.
Based on the police investigation, the attack was not targeted or hate-motivated.
