The article discusses the introduction of a simplified mobile feed design for Threads that allows users to easily navigate between various feeds. Featuring a dropdown menu for organized access and customization options, the update aims to deepen user engagement with desired conversations. However, the author expresses skepticism about the effectiveness of various requested features—like lists and hashtags—in boosting overall Threads activity, emphasizing the challenge in prioritizing feature development when the impact on growth remains minimal.
We're rolling out a simpler feed design on mobile to help you navigate between multiple feeds, so you can go deep on the conversations you want to see. Soon, you'll find all of your feeds in a dropdown menu at the top left. You can still change the order by tapping the pencil icon in the menu and create new feeds by tapping the + icon.
My honest take though is that requested features like lists, an edit button, a following feed, trending, and hashtags are all good to build, but none noticeably grow Threads or Threads usage.
