Fire at Santa Cruz County mobile home park is being investigated as attempted murder

A fire at a mobile home in Watsonville was responded to by approximately 20 firefighters after reports emerged around 7:22 a.m. The fire was brought under control by 7:40 a.m. Local investigators suspect the fire was set intentionally by a 65-year-old man following an argument. Three adults were in the residence; two were hospitalized with minor injuries while the suspect sustained moderate injuries and was taken for treatment.
