The Limón restaurant in San Francisco’s Mission District has closed its South Van Ness location after 16 years, leaving a notice of farewell on the door. While this site has served popular Peruvians dishes, including lomo saltados and ceviches, the closure is not permanent. According to an employee, there are plans for renovations and exciting new experiences at the location, expected to be revealed soon. Limón maintains other locations in the Bay Area, and the owners aim to keep a consistent appearance across their restaurants.
After 16 incredible years serving you at our South Van Ness location, it's time for a heartfelt goodbye. Our last service included lomo saltados, ceviches and pisco sours.
The restaurant's owners want all Limón's locations to look physically similar. Limón has six other locations in Walnut Creek, Oakland, and beyond, the South Van Ness one is the only closure.
