Women's Super League viewing figures soar after streaming switch to YouTube
Briefly

This season, the Women’s Super League (WSL) has experienced a dramatic increase in online viewership, thanks to its shift to YouTube as the streaming platform. Viewership has more than tripled compared to previous seasons. Last month, over a quarter of a million viewers tuned in to watch the Leicester City against Arsenal match, marking a new record for a non-television WSL fixture streamed online.
The cumulative total of live views on WSL games on YouTube has reached a staggering 1,576,848 after just three gameweeks. This number does not include viewers who watched replays of the games, indicating a growing enthusiasm for the league. Arsenal, known for having the largest fan base in the WSL, significantly contributed to this surge, especially as they were not featured on television during two of the three fixtures.
