Women retail staff more likely to be attacked and insulted by abusive customers

A survey by Circle K, Maxol, and Mr Price found that 75% of female retail staff experienced customer abuse compared to 60% of men. Younger workers aged 18-24 reported higher instances of abuse than those over 55. Despite this, 83% felt that customers are generally kind, and 86% believed they would receive employer support.
