Inspired by the coastal winds of Chile, this house near Pichilemu stands at a high point, dominating the landscape with panoramic sea views. Its sinuous form ingeniously counteracts the prevailing 'surazo' winds, allowing natural light to fill interiors while integrating seamlessly into the environment. With two wings extending from a central courtyard, the design fosters a sense of calm while providing distinct communal and private spaces. This innovative architecture respects both the landscape and its challenging climate, creating a serene retreat that embraces its coastal setting.
The design of the house respects its coastal environment by using its sinuous form to deflect strong winds, creating an oasis of calm without blocking views.
