A waste management company, Bywaters (Leyton) Ltd, has been charged with corporate manslaughter after the death of Barcoli Indjai at their site, allegedly due to safety negligence.
The charges allege the company failed to protect Mr. Indjai from a hazardous moving conveyor belt, as well as violating health and safety regulations.
Director John Glover has also been charged for not ensuring safety standards were met, with both he and the company pleading not guilty to the charges.
The case against Bywaters must now be heard at Southwark Crown Court, following the initial appearance at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
