His death notice states that he 'passed away tragically'... 'He will be sadly missed by his loving daughters, parents, brother, grandmother Agnes...' Reflecting on the loss, a neighbor stated, 'It's so sad. The news has put a dampener on the whole area.'
A neighbor added, 'I knew the young lad who died as I looked after him when he was a baby. He was a good, grand chap... it’s just so shocking to open your curtains in the morning and see police cars.'
In a follow-up operation, members of the Garda Armed Support Unit arrested a woman in relation to the fatal stabbing... She is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
