Tory MP's bill to ban marriage between cousins is damaging' and unenforceable'

Natasha Rattu, CEO of Karma Nirvana, warned that the Islamophobic backlash from the proposal triggers fear among those affected, deterring them from seeking help about cousin marriage.

Professor Neil Small stated, 'There's definitely an enhanced risk for children's health from cousin marriage in a relatively small number of people, but when it does happen the effects can be severe.'
