"I never precook anything," Ngo says. "When people sit down and order from the menu, I make it from scratch. Good things take time."
"Since the last guy left, it's been three years," Ngo says, "so it's only me, seven days a week."
He tried offering free delivery and discounts, and even ran errands for members of a nearby retirement community in hopes they would place an order.
Ngo made the leap in 2020, days before the pandemic's shelter-in-place order went into effect, and he had trouble finding customers.
