Briefly

"One of the biggest challenges was our limited budget. We had to restore the house while spending as little as possible and we managed to pull it off by designing, building, and installing the kitchen ourselves, for example. We even did all the plumbing work. We also restored the vintage cement tiles in the living area, removing a ceramic tile layer from the early 2000s, a layer of glue below it, and linoleum in other parts of the house. We removed paint too. It's almost like we were archeologists removing all the different layers of history."
