A rain warning for counties Cork and Kerry is in effect from 3pm today until 1pm Friday, with further warnings for Clare, Limerick, Galway, Sligo, and Mayo from 3pm today until 3am Friday. Heavy rain could lead to localised flooding and difficult travel conditions, particularly in Cork and Kerry.
Friday will be cloudy and unsettled, with widespread heavy rain at times and localised flooding remaining a risk. By evening, rain will become lighter and there may be sunny spells in the east and southeast.
The temperatures on Friday will be between 12C and 16C with some northwesterly breezes, bringing a rather dry night with possible patches of light rain and drizzle. Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to between 4C and 9C with mist and fog developing.
Saturday will start dry with a few isolated showers; however, persistent rain will push into the west and northwest by the afternoon, potentially spreading southeast later. Temperatures will range between 12C and 15C before dropping to 3C and 6C overnight.
