Status Yellow fog warning remains in place for 23 counties

The national forecaster warned of poor visibility and hazardous travelling conditions due to "widespread mist and fog" affecting several counties.
The warning, valid until 10am today, indicates that fog will clear throughout the morning while it becomes increasingly cloudy from the north.
Temperatures today are expected to range between 9C and 13C, dropping overnight to between 5C and 10C under cloudy conditions with mist and drizzle.
The rest of the week will be generally cloudy with patchy rain and drizzle, and winds are expected to pick up by Sunday.
