The floods in Valencia are reported to be the deadliest in Spain since 1973, leading to at least 95 confirmed deaths with broader impacts due to extreme weather patterns.
Authorities indicated the situation remains dire with around 40 deaths reported in Paiporta, and survivors being placed in temporary shelters as more bodies are expected to be uncovered.
Prime Minister Sanchez conveyed national solidarity in a recent speech, stating, "All of Spain weeps with all of you ... We won't abandon you," highlighting the widespread grief and support.
