Rickson Gracie shared on the "Mundo da Luta" podcast that his diagnosis of Parkinson's disease inspired his new book, where he discusses navigating life’s challenges through the lessons learned from martial arts. He emphasized that his journey through this health issue is akin to that of a warrior facing an opponent, highlighting the importance of preserving mental and physical strength as he adapts to this new phase of life.
In the podcast, Gracie stated, "I would like to pass on to people the way I try to solve my problems. We all have problems, we all have opponents - whether physical, spiritual or mental. And to preserve my mental health, my physicality at the best possible level, and my spiritual field, I had to use the tools of the spiritual warrior that I explain in the book."
Discussing his daily battle with Parkinson's, Gracie noted, "It's a daily battle and my overview of the problem can be resolved. If it is not resolved on the outside, it will be resolved on the inside. It is already resolved within my heart." This illustrates his resilient mindset in confronting personal challenges.
Gracie elaborated on lifestyle changes, saying, "I stopped eating meat, drinking beer and wine. I started fasting, taking all kinds of supplements. I changed the water in my house to ozonated water." This shift underscores his commitment to adapting to his health situation.
