Historic England has included 155 buildings in its Heritage at Risk Register for 2024, highlighting the ongoing threats from decay, neglect or inappropriate development.
The Heritage at Risk Register plays a vital role in protecting and preserving the UK's rich heritage, emphasizing the need for public support to safeguard these sites.
Among the 155 sites newly added is Dover's Roman painted house, described as 'the finest Roman House on show in Britain', showcasing significant archaeological remains.
The good news is 124 sites have been removed from the register in 2024, showing progress in securing the futures of valuable heritage sites.
