"I just think it's hysterical and surprising, the staying power of that song," Black, now 27, told the Chronicle before her Portola Festival debut.
"Trust!" along with a campy music video referencing 'Friday,' featuring old news clips about the song and an opening sequence of people gossiping about her.
Despite having the most disliked YouTube video in 2011, Black continued to make music and eventually released her full-length debut, "Let Her Burn," in 2023.
Black has been experimenting with new sounds in her recent projects, leaning into hyperpop and experimenting with mixing music.
