Real Deal: How hot are New York home prices?
Briefly

Caleb Silver, editor in chief at Investopedia, states that "Home prices have gone nothing but higher across the major counties we track in New York, especially out on Long Island. Nassau County has seen an 8.2% increase year over year, the average home price there $777,000. Suffolk County, up almost close to 8% you are looking at $660,000 for an average home price there."
Manny Pantiga emphasizes the timing of home purchases, saying, "If anyone would have purchased a home this time a year ago, they would have seen on average a 7.4% increase in value for the property."
Caleb Silver notes, "Prices have stabilized believe it or not it is in and around NYC. Prices are only up 1.3%, but the average home price in NYC around $755,000."
