Raven Space Systems, a Kansas City startup, has developed a technology to enable scalable 3D printing of thermoset composites, traditionally restricted by long lead times.
"We're essentially unlocking an entire field of 3D printing to production scale," said Raven cofounder Blake Herren, highlighting the automation of than net shape production.
Raven's patented Microwave Assisted Deposition (MAD) technology cures thermoset composites during printing, significantly reducing the time usually required for hardening.
Since 2020, Raven has secured around $4.5 million in non-dilutive contracts from agencies such as the Air Force and NASA, indicating strong market interest.
