Established in 2009, the group operates 24 venues, employing 850 people. After a takeover by Cheyne Capital involving a significant debt restructuring, the focus is on enhancing the social experience in the city. With a current portfolio that includes new restaurants and bars, the leadership is committed to expanding their footprint and introducing unique concepts to Dublin's vibrant culture.
Dave Mongan, chief operations officer at Eclective, emphasized that this name change is more than just a rebranding; it reflects the team’s commitment to creating exciting and vibrant social experiences across Dublin.
Mr. McKillen expressed pride in how Press Up has introduced authentic concepts to Dublin, highlighting venues like the Stella Cinema and the Workman's Club as examples of their unique contributions.
Cheyne Capital has assessed the value of their stake in Eclective, previously known as Press Up, at €25 million despite past reports of the group owing up to €45 million.
Following a restructuring, Eclective, presently operating in various venues across Dublin, has strategically positioned itself with seven restaurants and six bars, maintaining a vibrant presence in the city's dining and entertainment scene.
