Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey reported that a pedestrian was struck by an SUV while walking on North Main Street in Randolph, leading to fatal injuries.
The 56-year-old pedestrian, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, succumbed to injuries after being transported to Milton Hospital. Authorities await notification of next of kin.
The driver of the SUV, a 57-year-old man from Brockton, remained at the scene of the accident and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation into the crash.
As of Monday, no charges have been filed in connection with the accident, which is being investigated by State Police, the District Attorney’s office, and local authorities.
