Peace is a rustic retreat nestled on Le Maelström Mountain in Lac-Beauport, designed as a haven for outdoor lovers. The architecture features two primary volumes: a three-level metal structure clad in eastern townshipper tiles, which includes a rooftop terrace with a spa, and a wooden bleacher that extends southeastward, providing access and panoramic mountain views. The design prioritizes a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, with an open-jointed cedar ceiling enhancing this relationship. Users enjoy various interior spaces for gathering, along with intimate bedrooms and an inviting atmosphere that integrates with the natural environment.
The project revolves around the meeting of two volumes with complementary functions, emphasizing a harmonious blend of architecture with the surrounding natural terrain.
