Pamela Hayden, who voiced Milhouse and other characters on The Simpsons, announced her retirement after 35 years, expressing gratitude for her time on the show.
It's been an honor and a joy to have worked on such a funny, witty, and groundbreaking show," Hayden said in a statement, reflecting on her career.
Milhouse, Bart Simpson’s longtime friend, was first introduced in a Butterfinger commercial in 1989, and became widely known as the hapless, bullied character.
The Simpsons creator, Matt Groening, stated, "Pamela gave us tons of laughs with Milhouse... we will miss her," acknowledging her contributions to the show.
