Onions From One NorCal Farm Linked to McDonald's E. Coli Outbreak
Briefly

McDonald's traced the E. coli pathogen linked to its Quarter Pounders back to onions from Taylor Farms in Salinas, California, which were sent to a Colorado distribution center.
Taylor Farms issued a recall for all whole and diced yellow onions due to potential E. coli contamination, which sickened at least 49 people across 10 states.
Competing fast food chains like Burger King and Taco Bell responded proactively by disposing of potentially contaminated onions and reassessing their supply chains.
This isn't the first E. coli incident related to Taylor Farms, as they were previously involved in a 2015 outbreak linked to an onion-celery mixture used in Costco chicken salad.
